Hen and bachelor parties
Out of the ordinary hen and bachelor parties!
We have become specialists in organising these events and are well aware of how important their success is ; it's like a good omen for a successful marriage and an opportunity for some amazing photos both for the bride and groom as well as the guests.
Obviously our guides thoroughly enjoy running hen and bachelor parties, even if it's not always straight forward - with young women who don't know each other really well and have trouble sometimes coming to an agreement, and young men who are often 20 minutes behind the schedule!
You'll find the tarif for each type of activity via the links below. If your group is of at least eight people, we will offer a free place to the bride or groom-to-be as a wedding present from us! You can reserve places on line with a deposit of 40E per group. The balance can also be paid on line or on site by cheque or cash to your guide.
The 3 activities which are most successful.
Guided bike ride
By bike is definitely the best way to visit a town; our routes are carefully planned to ensure minimum contact with traffic. The tour takes 2 hours with a dozen or so stops and commentary from your guide, a real local personality. The ride is enhanced with some amusing games for cyclists plus the joy of riding beautiful Dutch bikes adorned with flowers and decorations. Your group certainly won't go by unnoticed! The guide can adapt the route to suit your preferences whether it be visiting bustling, lively areas of town or the opposite, visiting parks, gardens and quiet spots.
You'll find the prices on these links:
- In Lille
- In Joinville-le-Pont on the banks of the river Marne, in Paris you can enjoy vintage bikes
- In Gand, we suggest Dutch bikes and tandems
Stand up Paddle
There will be some of you in your group who dream of getting the bride or groom onto a paddle board, even if they've never done this before! It's a very good idea if you're sure that other members of the group will join in. Stand up paddle is accessible for everyone and easy ! Even dressed up, the bride or groom will quickly get over the first four minutes of nervousness and progress quickly, as will you all, thanks to the patience and teaching of your guide who, from his or her paddle board, will take some superb photos. This is a really fantastic, must-do experience. To achieve success you have to try to respect the "no falling in" rule, particularly as bathing is not yet allowed in the Marne in Paris, the Deule in Lille nor the Lys in Gand. Of course falls do happen occasionally! You'll find the prices in the links below:
Beautiful photos and bursts of laughter guaranteed! You'll try out all sorts of weird and whacky bicycles and discover that there are many different, enjoyable ways of riding a bike! From the smallest micro-bike to the largest, mythical Penny Farthing, not to mention tandems for three or four, inverse tandem, crab-bike, stepper bike...and other strange models. And why not try out other new inventions for urban mobility like Solowheel, Street Paddle. etc.?
Our guide will enrich your experience by presenting all the different models and giving individual lessons on the Penny Farthing and Solowheel; the session will last 1hour 30 minutes and can include a little test of your balance. The cost is 19E per person in Lille or Paris.
We are by the water and in the midst of greenery; come if you can by bike or on foot (or shared transport); you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the spot or just have a drink on the lovely waterside terrace.
So, still not sure?
You like the look of every activity and don't know which to choose? We can offer you all three... but seriously, do you know which one we would advise....? Don't tell everyone... quite simply, the guided bike ride, because that is the one in which you all really stay together as a group doing something which is seen by everyone as easily achievable.
